How About a 12-Up Manual Business Card Slitter

A couple of weeks ago, we talked about how business cards are still important. You should still offer business cards to your customers. You can still give them what VistaPrint can not, personalized service. Buy something from VistaPrint, you get spammed. So, what about a manual business card slitter?

You can buy an electric business card slitter from MBM or Formax, but what about the RB Sun Manual 12-Up Handi-Slitter? It can slice and dice a standard 8 ½” x 11” piece of paper into 12 perfect 2” x 3 ½” business cards faster than you can say “how much time was I wasting on guillotine cutting?” It’s perfect for a UPS Store or Mailbox store that offers some business printing services.hs-2000m

What Does it Do?
Business cards are typically printed on A4 stock with a 10-up layout, meaning they’re printed 2 across and 5 down with leftover trim. However, with a 12-up format, they’re printed landscape with 3 across and 4 down, allowing printers to print almost right to the edge with very little trim and a more efficient use of space.

The RB Sun Manual 12-Up Handi-Slitter runs these sheets of printed 12-up cards through once, first cutting them into strips. The strips are then run through a second cutter, accurately slicing them into individual cards and removing any excess trim.

Like its 10-up cousin, the RB Sun 12-Up Handi-Slitter is fairly portable at 40 pounds, meaning it can easily be stored and then pulled out for short runs and the occasional low-end business card job.

And How Much Does it Cost?
The 12-Up Handi-Slitter currently sells for $1095.00 on our website and is under warranty for a full year.
