Handling paper sizes up to 14″ (legal), the Tamerica 240 HB Manual Comb Opener Machine is a beast that can bind books up to 2″ thick and handle a wide range of standard coils.
How is it Used?
A comb opener is not a punch, you will need to purchase a punch separately (the Tamerica 240HB works best with the 240 HP manual munch, the 240 EP electric punch, or the HEP 280 Power Punch). A comb opener simply opens up the coil, letting you quickly and easily feed your document on to it. It then, in turn, closes the coil.
A comb opener also makes the job of disassembling or ‘unbinding’ a document much easier than ripping or threading out the coil by hand.
And How Much Does it Cost?
The Tamerica 240HB Manual Comb Opener Machine costs $215 at Lloyd’s and comes with a 1-year manufacturer’s warranty. You can opt to purchase an extended warranty from Lloyd’s of Indiana for 15% of the purchase price for a 2-year warranty or 20% of the purchase price for 3 years.
