What Binding Machines Work Best?
There are many available binding machines for coil binding. They can be separate components like the punch machine and the electric roller, or you can purchase all in one machine that does it all.
If you are a large print shop, we recommend using a large punch machine with an interchangeable die system to accommodate either coil, comb, or wire punches. The Rhin-O-Tuff line of binding punch machines is perfect for a large print shop. The machines are made in the USA and have one of the best warranties on the market. The electric roller would have to be purchased separately.
For any other office environment, you can purchase all-in-one machines that punch, roll, and crimp your documents for you. On the high-end, the Rhin-O-Tuff 3000 is the best all-in-one as everything is electric. It has a punch, an electric roller, and an electric crimper. It can easily sit on top of a counter or table.
The Akiles Alpha Coil binding machine is a cheaper alternative to the 3000. It offers an all-in-one counter-top experience too. It is an electric punch machine with an electric roller and manual crimping tool included.
Last but not least is the Tamerica Office Pro. It too is an all-in-one coil binding machine much like the Akiles and Rhin-O-Tuff machine. It is an electric punch with an electric roller with disengage able pins.
Coil binding is an excellent way to build documents for any office environment. The versatility makes coil binding great for handbooks, workbooks, or marketing documents. The binding spines come in a variety of colors and are relatively inexpensive to purchase.
