The Akiles MegaBind Manual and Electric Comb Binding Machine lets you punch and bind documents with one machine, saving you money, tabletop space and time.
How is it Used?
The Akiles MegaBind utilizes a unique double-handle system, so you can punch and bind either simultaneously or separately. And, like all Akiles comb binding machines, the MegaBind comes equipped with die disengagement pins so no more tearing and ripping after you punch a document.
Its features include side margin settings, binding guide and punch margin controls. The unit also comes with a built-in waste compartment to help contain mess and make clean-up simple and fast.
There are three MegaBind models – the MegaBind-1, MegaBind-2 and the MegaBind-1E. The main difference is that the MegaBind-1E offers electric punching. The MegaBind-1 and MegaBind-2 are almost identical, but the MegaBind-2 includes a wire closer (can handle up to 9/16”).

The Akiles MegaBind Manual and Electric Comb Binding Machine costs $269 for the MegaBind-1, $325 for the MegaBind-2 and $990 for the MegaBind-1E. All models come with a 1-year warranty from the manufacturer. You can opt to purchase an extended warranty from Lloyd’s of Indiana for 15% of the purchase price for a 2-year warranty or 20% of the purchase price for 3 years.
